Guided by Light, Rooted in Story
Welcome to North Starr, where curating beautiful and rare items is more than just a passion—it’s a calling. This journey began with a deep love for storytelling through objects and a belief that our spaces should reflect the lives we’ve lived, the people we love, and the journeys yet to come.
North Starr is named after my two R’s—my guiding lights—but the name now represents something even greater: the bond between my aunt, Tiffany Windsor, and me. Though our paths were different, we were guided together to bring this vision to life, intertwining our shared love for design, sustainability, and the power of meaningful spaces.
A Journey Inspired by Home
As a young, single mom, I was forever changed by Tiffany’s innate gift for creating warmth and beauty. She once visited my humble home and, with just a few thoughtfully chosen pieces, turned it into a space that truly felt like home for me and my children. That moment ignited my passion for curation. What started with thrift store hunts soon became a lifelong pursuit—searching for treasures that tell stories, hold history, and breathe life into a space.
Tiffany’s influence runs deep in North Starr. Her lifelong dedication to art, craftsmanship, and heritage has shaped the way we see and source each item. With a background rooted in storytelling, preservation, and artistry, she has spent years championing makers, curators, and traditions that deserve to be honored and passed down.
Together, we created North Starr as a reflection of both our journeys—one that honors the past, embraces the present, and curates for the future.
More Than a Store—A Mission
Beyond curating beautiful and meaningful collections, North Starr is now a nonprofit, dedicated to transforming lives. We believe in the power of second chances—whether it’s for a treasured piece with a forgotten story, a woman seeking refuge and renewal, or a dog in need of understanding and a loving home.
Our nonprofit supports two intertwined causes:
- Periwinkle House – A faith-based sanctuary for homeless women, providing them (and their children and pets) with a safe space to rebuild their lives with dignity and grace.
- Guided Training for Dogs & Owners – Funding high-end, effective dog training programs to prevent abandonment and create balanced, peaceful homes for both dogs and their families.
At its heart, North Starr is about connection—between people, stories, objects, and purpose. Whether you’re here to find a piece that speaks to you, to support a cause that matters, or simply to be inspired, welcome.
We are so grateful to share this journey with you.
With love and light,
✨ Starr Hall & Tiffany Windsor

The Heart of North Starr: A Mission of Hope and Harmony
North Starr’s transformation into a 501(c)(3) nonprofit is driven by a deep commitment to creating stability, healing, and responsible care—for both people and animals. Our mission intertwines two critical causes:
1. Periwinkle House: A Sanctuary for Women and Families (Tiffany’s Mission)
A faith-based refuge, Periwinkle House provides a safe and loving home for homeless women, including those with children and pets. More than just a shelter, it is a place of renewal and restoration, offering support, resources, and spiritual guidance to help women regain independence with dignity and grace. Families stay together, and pets remain by their side, ensuring no one is left behind during times of crisis.
2. Ending the Cycle of Dog Abandonment Through Education (Starr’s Devotion)
Too many dogs are abandoned due to behavioral issues that could be prevented with proper training and owner education. North Starr is committed to funding high-end, effective training programs in partnership with experts like Cesar Millan or Brandon McMillan, ensuring that dogs and their owners receive the guidance needed to foster calm, well-balanced homes. By addressing the root cause of abandonment, we work to keep families and their pets together.
At North Starr, we believe that everyone deserves a second chance—whether it’s a woman seeking refuge or a dog in need of understanding. Our nonprofit unites these causes under one guiding light, ensuring that hope, healing, and harmony define the future for both people and their pets.
